With the rise of COVID-19 cases across the United States beginning in 2020, there was a simultaneous increase of discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. This section of resources contains articles and documentaries analyzing the correlation between the two variables.

The website Stop AAPI Hate stands against AAPI racism and provides a variety of resources for education as well as advocacy for AAPI equity.

TIME presents “Hate Crimes Against Asian Americans Are on the Rise. Many Say More Policing Isn’t the Answer” on what is behind Asian hate crime.

In the documentary “Stop the Hate: The rise in violence against Asian Americans,” ABC News examines the root of AAPI discimination.

Immigration

Immigration is one of the most politicized issues within the country, resulting in the current U.S. border immigration crisis. Not only has this debate affected children’s quality of life along the border, but immigrants residing in America, despite legality, continue to encounter prejudice and hostility. The resources below, addressing immigrant experiences and policies, are to be used for educational purposes.
